BIO
Singer, songwriter,
lyricist and voice teacher
Veronika Morscher is an Austrian singer, lyricist and composer. After completing her bachelor's degree at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, she moved back to Europe, where she completed her master's degree at the University of Music and Art in Vienna and at the University of Music and Dance in Cologne. Since 2015 she lives and works as a freelance artist in Cologne. She is a member of several projects ("Of Cabbages and Kings", "SH4iKH 9 Extended", "Tales from the Wooden Kingdom" feat. Heiner Schmitz & CCJO etc.) and can be heard as a feature guest on numerous CD productions ("Pablo Held Trio", "Matthew Halpin Group", "Owls", etc.) in addition to her solo project "Solitary Bird". Between 2014 and 2018, Veronika completed her training as a certified yoga teacher (BYO/EUY) and has been teaching yoga for several years at rehearsal stages of the Bundesjazzorchester as well as with the Bundesjugendchor. She also studied psychology at the University of Cologne (B.Sc.) and at the University of Maastricht (M.Sc.). From 2021-2022 Veronika was an teacher for Jazz & Pop Vocals at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne.
